Hello there you! Here you will find stuff about living a creative life in country Australia. I am an illustrator who also creates, takes photos, faffs, teaches & hosts workshops. Watercolour, collage, colour, cheese, salads, travel, collecting, & dreaming make me ridiculously happy. And gardening. And op-shops. And art supplies. And the word serendipity. And you reading this. Oh and so you know, all the art & photos you see on here are done by me!

(another little peek)
A found at the tip metal ceiling rose, hangs as an ornament near our front door
One of our living rooms...in the new part of the house. Now styled differently...as this was not styled at all!
Another view of the same room, this time CLEAN...but still...differently styled these days.
A new clean wall, going to the upstairs
Some of the bits and bobs I collect ...
My youngest monkey, in her room...proud of the fact we can see the floor!
The kids hangout lounge. We are short of cushions for sure.
Some of the lovely angles of the new extension
Big blue sky love

Vintage map, vintage vase, homegrown and dried artichoke
An unstyled, spontaneous little snap of one of our cats, Fizzy... stressed out, obviously
Cushion love.I think we need more.
Afternoon sun, flowers from the CWA
Picture window, going up the steps to the kids bedrooms. It gives great light and shadow and angles...so pleased we put it in.
Freeby little sideboard, collected glass, vintage thrifted stuff, a framed card, and foraged monsteria leaves
Winter sun , wood ready for the evening fire
Painting by me, thrifted, inherited, tip found, gathered and collected furniture and stuff. As per usual.
My designer stool (not thrifted or a replica!) some succulent cuttings, feather drawing by me, birthday present plant, Ikea pot planter, recycled Oregon custom built storage, twig cross by me,thrifted wooden platter and yellow doily... and a long time cactus friend
A corner of the kid's bathroom...with a hanging towel!!!!The hanging thing is a table runner from Ikea stitched to a coat hanger.
Sun + stools + flowers from our garden + vase + map = happy corner

So, as you can see, colour, thrifted, retro, vintage and light tend to figure pretty  well all over our home. It just the way it seems to be...I do not know any other way.I have tried..a little bit...to be minimal, but it just is not me, not my thing, and I just cannot live with it. I just keeping adding, layers, colours, textures, eras.

In fact, what you see here as already been edited, rearranged, altered. And this is me trying to pare it back!

Thanks for having a sneaky-peek,come and visit again soon...for another look around. More pictures will happen...as things change and evolve, and new things find their way into our home.I surmise!Happily!
